1、一般認(rèn)為each other指兩者，other another指三者或三者以上。

　　但在實(shí)際運(yùn)用中，這兩個短語常可互換：

　　We respect each other [one another].

　　我們互相尊重 (對方)。

　　2、兩者均有所有格：

　　They know each other’s [one another’s] weak points.

　　他們都彼此了解對方的缺點(diǎn)。

　　3、each other可折開用 (each…the other)，而 one another則不能：

　　We helped each other.

　　＝We each helped the other.

　　我們互相幫助。

　　4、each other和one another均為代詞

　　因此在及物動詞之后，可直接用作賓語(如help each other)；

　　而在不及物動詞之后，則要借助介詞(如talk to each other，learn from one another等)。

　　5、這兩個短語均不能用作主語：

　　We each know what the other thinks.

　　正因?yàn)椴荒苡米髦髡Z，所以用它們作賓語的句子不能改為被動語態(tài)。
