世界奇跡之一“長城”英語作文

　　Many people have come to know the famous Chinese saying:“He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."What impresses me most in Beijing is the Great wall which is one of the greatest projects in the world.In fact.it's more than 6000 kilometres long,which runs across North China like a huge dragon.It winds its way from west to east,across deserts,over mountains,through valleys till at last it reaches the sea.It is the longest wall on the earth,also one of the wonders in the world.

　　The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries.It was first built in Qin Dynasty and prolonged in Ming and Qing dynasties.It was used to protect the enemies from invading in the past,but now it has become the place of interest which attracts so many tourists both at home and abroad.The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth,but of the flesh and blood of millions of men.It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any modern machines.All the work was done by hand.Thousands of men died and were buried under the wall they built.

　　長城有兩千多年的歷史。 它始建于秦朝,一直延續(xù)到明清時期。 在過去它被用來防止敵人的入侵,但現(xiàn)在它已成為名勝古跡,吸引了很多國內(nèi)外游客。 長城不僅是由石頭和泥土建成的,更是由數(shù)百萬人的肉和血造成的。在沒有任何現(xiàn)代機器的古代建造這樣的墻是非常困難的,所有的工作都是手工完成的。成千上萬的人犧牲,被埋在他們建造的墻下。
